DVD version of Spirit of the Driftless

An immersive journey through the precious landscape of the Driftless Area - a land spared from the crushing effects of the continental glaciers of the last Ice Age.   Geologic events left intact an ancient and ruggedly beautiful terrain of high, rocky cliffs rising above the mighty Mississippi River and twisting trout streams, with nearby subterranean wonderlands of sinkholes and caverns.  A land overlain with rare habitats, mysterious archaeological features, an explosion of migratory birds and other wildlife is ours to explore!  This film is also a tribute to our beloved George Howe who co-produced this film and is sadly missed.
